They have so much fun guessing who it will be, coloring and leaning about our newest letter pal.
We did a theme discovery center where they got to act like a pet they would like to have. They were able to play with the pets, take care of them and feed them and then sort out animals with habitats they learned from Monday.
It was "Make a Pet Collage". I love this activity it really shows off their creativity and imagination. Ask your children why they chose the picture that they put on their collage. Give your child every opportunity to have scissors and paper at home. It is great for their fine motor skills.
At snack time they had to tell me what on the table started with the letter P. Give them the quiz at home.
We read a fun book, "What Pet To Get" by Emma Dodd. Be sure to ask your kids what kind of pets Jack asked for and what kind of pet Jack finally got.
The highlight of the day was Musical Name Chairs. We started the music and they moved around the chairs. When the music stopped they had to sit on the chair with their name on it. I changed the names to different chairs between music. It was fun, and we will play it again, so watch for a video on Friday.
