This week we our Theme is Trees.
Some of our activities on Monday were...
Did I Grow On A Tree?
The kids split into 2 groups and I gave each group a bag full of items. They got to sort those items in to 2 piles and determine whether or not those items grew on trees. Some of the items were leaves, rocks, grass, pine needles, bark, fruit , vegetables, acorns, flowers, etc.
We went on a tour of the neighborhood and collected leaves and brought them back to do leaf rubbings
Our music today focused on the seasons. We sang a song to the tune of "The Farmer and the Dell"
For Arts and Crafts the children had fun making popcorn trees.
We are really focusing on our names this week. Many of the children can already recognize their names so we have names on everything so that they can practice finding their names.
Or books for today were....

We also sang "I'm a Little Pine Tree" to the tune of I'm a Little Tea Pot

We talked about Pine trees and why they don't change colors.
